Daywise Itinerary

On arrival at Cochin, proceed to Munnar. A breathtakingly beautiful - haven of peace and tranquility which cannot be portrayed in a single canvas. Situated at 1,600m above sea level with unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains, you’re often up above the clouds watching veils of mist clinging to the mountain tops. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji/Strobilanthes. This flower which bathes the hills in blue once in every twelve years, will bloom next in 2018. On the way to Munnar visit Cheeyappara & Valara waterfalls. The Cheeyappara Waterfall cascades down in seven steps. Valara has a chain of waterfalls surrounded by thick green forests. Overnight stay at Hotel. 

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Munnar. Visit Mattupetty Dam (ticket price extra), a storage concrete gravity dam built in the mountains. Mattupetty offers many fascinating sights to relish. Besides the tea plantations & the rolling grasslands, the Shola forests in and around Mattupetty are ideal for trekking and are habitat to a variety of birds. Later visit Kundala Dam (ticket price extra), the famous Neela Kurunji flowers which bloom once in twelve years, bloom in the hills and valleys around Kundala lake.

Enroute visit Echo Point & Pothamedu View Point. Echo Point always has a greenish look as it is covered with abundant green sceneries. View Point is perfect to enjoy the spectacular beauty of the coffee, tea & cardamom plantations. They are an adventurous destination, which will be a perfect choice for those who love to have a nature walk or trekking. Overnight stay at Hotel.

After breakfast, check out from hotel & proceed to Thekkady. Thekkady is considered as a heaven for natural spices. The Periyar forests of Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India. Periyar encompasses 777 sq km & a 26-sq-km artificial lake.Check-in at hotel & later head out for sightseeing to visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (ticket price extra), it is home to herds of wild Elephants, Sambar, Tigers, Gaur, Lion-tailed Macaques, Nilgiri Langurs & more. The place can sometimes feel a bit like Disneyland-in-the-Ghats, but its mountain scenery & jungle walks make for an enjoyable visit. Evening enjoy the boat cruise in the lake (at additional cost) to spot wild animals. Overnight stay at Hotel.

After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Alleppey which has an immense natural beauty and is also known as the “Venice of the East”. It is famous for backwater cruising and boat race. Check into your hotel/houseboat & cruise (if staying in houseboat) through the Narrow Canal amidst the Paddy Fields, Coconut Lagoons and Coir Villages in Alleppey. Overnight stay in Alleppey.

After breakfast, check out from hotel & proceed to Kovalam. Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach destination with three adjacent crescent beaches & also known as the "Paradise of the South". On arrival check-in at the hotel & relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. By evening explore on your own to see how the everlasting sea touches the everlasting sky. Kovalam is the place where one can see the golden sand at the day time & silver sand in the night, with high rock promontory & a calm bay of blue waters, this beach paradise creates a unique aquarelle on moonlight nights. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. On this day, you’ll enjoy a full-day trip around Kovalam to let you enjoy the panoramic views of Kovalam and the fresh air of nature. We start from Hawah Beach, named after the hippies who came to the shore in the seventies. It’s a popular destination for families and is just a hop away from Lighthouse Beach, which is also part of the day’s schedule. Then we head for Vellayani Lake, Kerala’s largest freshwater lake in the Thiruvananthapuram district. Then to the Halcyon Castle, also known as the Kovalam Palace, built in 1932 of the princely state of Travancore. We spend the rest of the day shopping at the local market for their specialties. We will return to the hotel and will spend the night in Kovalam.

After breakfast, proceed to Kochi and check into the hotel. Begin your sightseeing excursion, exploring the historical towns of Fort Cochin and Mattancherry, steeped in an atmosphere rich with the echoes of the past. Visit the Jewish Synagogue, a venerable establishment dating back 400 years. Step into its large main hall adorned with rare antique artifacts that enhance its splendor. Next, explore the St. Francis Church renowned for its exquisite architecture and serene ambiance, believed to be among the oldest churches erected by Europeans in India. Consider a visit to the Santa Cruz Basilica (optional, additional cost), one of India's eight Basilicas, celebrated for its grandeur and attracting tourists year-round. Experience Vasco House, a fine example of Portuguese architecture, reputedly the dwelling where Vasco Da Gama resided during his visits to Kochi until his passing in 1524. Conclude your tour with a visit to Fort Kochi beach and the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, unique to this region. These colossal nets, originating from China, offer a spectacle found nowhere else in India. Return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Following breakfast, depart from the hotel and transfer to Cochin airport for your journey back home, carrying with you cherished memories of your time spent in the enchanting realm of God's Own Country.
